SURREALISM
Surrealism is a creative art and literature which sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind.
It originated from France in 1920's a french poet called Andre Breton. Above realism is another name for Surrealism,
the aim was to resolve the previously contradictory conditions of dream and reality. The artists began painting various
illogical scenes with photographic precision, they also created abnormal creatures from everyday objects and used different
techniques which allowed unconscious to convey itself.

Salvador Dalí was born on May 11, 1904, Spain. From a early age he was encouraged to practice his art
and this resulted in him going on to study at an academy in Madrid. In the 1920s, he went to Paris and began interacting with artists such as Picasso, this helped develop Salvador paintings. |
I like this picture because it is very influencing by putting the pond and the eye together. The meaning behind this piece is that is looks very creative and wonderful. The photographer is trying to get you to think about this a piece of art by using juxtaposition.

This picture is using the rule of thirds. I like this picture because it is a mountain also it is shaped as a face. The meaning behind this piece, is it could be that the woman's thoughts are frowing like water. That she has a lot on her mind.

I like this picture because it is very influencing, by putting the animals and humans, by the Animals squashing the humans. The meaning behind this, is the art is based on a myth or a dream. The painting gives the mood of misery and pain.

SHOOT PLAN 1
Christopher McKenney
Daniel KuklaDaniel Kukla works in a similar style to Christopher McKenney
However I do not like this picture because it looks random the way it is formed with the dark in the background and light in the mountain on the picture. Because of the lighting from the camera makes the image to bright.in my opinion. |
I was drawn in by this image as I liked the way the photographer used the mirror illusion. I like the way how the photographer makes the character disappear but only the characters hands are visible. The photographer keeps the image simple by using 3 components, I feel this helps the image come together. The main focus that caught my attention is the way how it has been edited, it shows the mirror reflecting the whole image again & again, this adds to the illusion.
I like this picture because its the way the mirror is holding it by itself. This picture uses the center of the thirds and the composition rule. I think that this picture is to dull but it should be a bit bright. They have used birds eye point of view.

LOCATION:IN AND OUT OF OUR SCHOOL
PEOPLE: AJ
TOPIC: I will be doing a shoot for our surrealism topic.it would be magical and mythological, someone would be holding a small mirror and aj would be standing behind a chair so they won't be seen. Only their hands holding the mirror will be visible, or I will take a picture of aj in a window and take pictures of different windows and put them in the mirror.

Worst PhotoI hate this picture because you can
see the light reflecting on the mirror, also it is to dull . What I like about this picture is that, it has the rule of thirds, composition rule and a low depths of field. |
What tools I have usedIn this picture i have used the rubber tools to erased tool to cut out AJ body and leave his hands in the picture, I have copied the layer and pasted it into the mirror. I also used the cropped tool to crop most of the picture, so it wont have most of the picture on my website page. I have used the smudge tool so its looks like the hands are behind the chair. I have used the burn tool to soften the picture and make it more professional.

I will use Kasum for my shoot plan 2.
FINAL PICTURE
My final picture is about a strong
super human, who has the abilities to smash through walls, break stuff up, and loud roaring sounds. In this picture there is short depths of filed, and short exposure. I like this image because he cracked the road in half. The meaning behind the piece is he is strong and powerful. This is an effective image because they have created an interesting composting by using the rule of thirds. |
